Extreme was bought out by Goodlife some time ago, hence this gym is now a Goodlife gym. In fact I would go as far as to say this is by far the best Goodlife I have been to. It is now 24/7 and has plenty of machines. Even at peak time there are rarely wait times for anything (yeah, I’m looking at you, benches at the Finch and Duffering Goodlife). The management here is not pushy or greedy and if you bring a friend to try and show them how to work out, noone will say anything, unlike some other Goodlifes I could mention. The only annoyances with this gym I have noticed is the music is generally horrible (but that is subjective) and people are really reluctant to put their weights back, but that is hardly the gyms fault. Overall a great experience.
Terrible. They say that you can get a membership for 10$ a month and no other fees. They don’t mention theres a 50$ sign up fee, an almost mandatory session with a personal trainer which is less a session and more an opportunity for them to demonstrate how unfit you are, make you feel bad about yourself and then try and sell you sessions with a personal trainer to meet the goals they talk(decide for you) over with you that you think you want to attain. I was told when going there that a 13% body fat was unhealthy. Underfat is considered to be les than 8%, healthy is between 8% and 19% and above 19% is unhealthy/overweight. Worst gym experience of my life – strongly recomend not going there unless you feel like opening yourself up to a bombardment of sales pitches, scams and attacks on your confidence.
